exploring

On Saturday Len had some work to do at the house, so Owen & I decided to go out & explore the area.  We went shopping at some local shops, did some antiquing, went on a scenic drive, and walked through one of the local cemeteries.  Owen had a lot of questions about death and heaven.  It was a great teaching opportunity for him.  This particular cemetery is very old.  Many of the head stones were dated in the early 1800's.  In fact, some of them were so old, you could no longer read the names on them.  It was a very spiritual experience for me.  It made me think a lot about our mortal bodies, and how short our time on earth is.  I thought about all these people who once lived on this earth, and how any earthly possessions they owned were meaningless now.  It made me think about how our relationships with our families & with our Heavenly Father are the most important things we could have in this life and in the life here after.

That looks really cool! How far away is that from your house? Matt and I are super excited for when we can come out there and see where you live. Keep exploring so that you can find lots of fun and exciting places for us to see! Love you!
