-trunk or treat-

Tonight was our ward halloween party. Owen was so excited. He has been looking forward to being "Mario" for such a long time. We got his costume in early September. He has been practicing his "Mario voice" for a month. He is such a wild guy. At home he is non-stop talking, jumping, bouncing, etc.. He could not sit still earlier today when he got ready for the party. We could not get him to settle down, but something very strange happened when he put that costume on. He transformed into someone else. We arrived at the party & went inside the church building with a completely different child. I don't think he said two words the entire time. He stayed right by Len's side the entire time. Multiple people made comments about his costume. He was of course the only Mario at the party. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen. Owen was so shy & timid.

As the "trunk or treating" started Owen was so quiet we couldn't even hear him. Len asked him to speak up about a million times. He was so sweet. He won a cupcake in the cake walk & I am a little embarressed to admit that I ate it. He didn't eat any of his candy. When we got home he opened a blow pop & took about 4 licks & then gave it to me. He was really excited to check out all his treats, but he didn't want to eat them. He better get started before Mom strikes again or he might not get any of his loot. Even Abbie finished her lollypop. After he checked everything out he had a bath & went straight to bed. Very strange. I really like this "Mario" character!
